A Business Built on Attention to Detail
In 1999, Jeff Kessler graduated from Davidson College and took over operations. He moved the company to its current Rockville location and expanded into tile, coping, plaster, and deck work. That’s where “One Company for All Your Needs” came from. Five years later, his brother Kevin joined after finishing at the University of Maryland and grew the service department to a fleet of 24 full service vehicles.
For 40 years, Pooltek has stayed in business by sticking to the standard Ed set on day one: do the technical work right, pay attention to the details, and treat every pool like the investment it is. Not as a slogan. As an actual standard.
What We Believe
We’ve built our reputation on technical knowledge, personal attention, and doing the whole job under one roof. Our team handles everything from weekly service to tile, coping, and plaster renovations with the same level of care. You get a technician who understands the chemistry and the equipment, and a company that would rather prevent a problem than fix it later.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to take care of a pool. But it sure makes you feel better to know one is behind the company. That engineer’s mindset still runs through how we diagnose issues, plan projects, and communicate with homeowners.

We’re also a National Plasterers Council (NPC) Certified Plaster Start-Up Company.
